Eurospray is out of this world!
On the 25 December 2021 at 12:20 pm, the James Webb Telescope blasted off from the Arianespace spaceport in French Guiana to orbit the universe one million miles away. Pretty exciting stuff, but did you know that nearly 15 years ago, components for the James Webb Space Telescope were painted in Glenrothes by Eurospray Limited. Working with the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh, parts for the Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) – the Spectrometer Pre-Optics – were painted using a high specification space coating.
We can now officially say Eurospray’s component finishing service is out of this world!
